Treatment Approach

My treatment approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded in evidence-based care, while remaining warm and supportive. I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). These treatment modalities help people understand patterns between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and develop practical skills for managing life’s challenges. CBT is especially useful for identifying unhelpful thinking patterns and creating actionable strategies to manage anxiety, stress, or overwhelming emotions. DBT emphasizes mindfulness, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness, giving people tools to navigate intense feelings and difficult situations. Together, these approaches help clients gain insight, build skills, and make meaningful, lasting changes in their lives.

While therapy is structured and intentional, the space itself is designed to feel safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental. Clients often share that they feel comfortable bringing up sensitive or “sticky” topics, even when those conversations feel complicated or vulnerable. I believe that meaningful progress happens when people feel understood and respected, and when therapy feels like a collaborative partnership rather than a place where individuals are being told what to do.

My goal is not just to help people feel better in the moment, but to support individuals in making tangible shifts that align with their values and goals. Together, we focus on building resilience, strengthening coping skills, and creating strategies for navigating life’s transitions, so clients can move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and well-being.
